The Other Place is 2.5 hours north of San Francisco off Highway 128 on a ridge above Boonville, CA in the spectacular Anderson Valley, CA.
Boonville DownTown is off of Hwy. 128 in Boonville just .2 miles north of The Other Place.

It is impossible to offer early checkins or late checkouts. Our cleaning schedule can vary from 1 to 5 cottages each day.
If you arrive early, you are welcome to park on the property and hike. If you want to hike after checkout, load your car and park outside the fenced area.
THE COTTAGES are stocked with milk, organic apple juice and wine, as well as salt, pepper and sugar. All sheets and towels are provided, as well as charcoal and a chimney starter.
For those traveling with your canine companions!
For dogs that prefer to nap on the bed, bring a sheet to cover the down comforter. For muddy winters and swimming summers, we recommend you bring several dog towels. Please bathe your dogs outside. We've had many plugged drains from our furry friends.
Because our rates do not include the usual cleaning fee for pets, we suggest leaving a tip for Etel and Isidra, who do an incredible job maintaining the cottages "as though there had never been a furry friend".

3 night minimum during the new COVID guidelines. April, May & October have 3 night minimums on weekends.
Monday through Thursday are midweek nights.
Holiday Rate is the weekend rate for all national holidays with a 4 night minimum 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's
The week before Easter is Holiday Rate!
We are in the office from 8:30 to Noon (at the least) . . . Monday through Friday. We monitor the phones frequently so will return your calls ASAP!
Once you have your reservations, send us a 50% deposit within 7 days in order to confirm it. WE DON'T TAKE CREDIT CARDS.

Now we have two ways to share our cottages with friends and family. Gift Certificates of a dollar amount or number of nights and SheepDung Bucks in $50 and $100 denominations good for either SheepDung location.
To purchase a gift certificate send us the downloaded order form completed. For last minute gift certificates just call us at 707 895 3979 and we can arrange it.
